My 2023/24 winter escape lead me to South America, exactly to the north of Chile and Argentina.
The journey started in Santiago de Chile, then to Valparaiso and further north. Via Antofagasta to San Pedro de Atacama.
Here excursions to the geysers of El Tatio, to the Valle de la Luna and Valle des los Muertes and Valle de Cartape, and to the Lagunas Escondidas de Baltinache.
Then we took the bus over the Andes to Argentina.
On the itinerary here was Jujuy. From the base camp in Maimara we went to Purmamarca, Humahuaca and the Inca cave, the Salinas Grandes.
The journey to Puerto Iguazu went via Salta.
The last stop was Buenos Aires and El Tigre.
