Photo Essay for META /EEB

sustainabilty I transition of textile industry in Europe

In September I have been working on behalf of META by EEB (European Environmental Bureau). For this project photographer in various countries in Europe were sent to businesses that pursue innovative projects that move away from the textile industry’s ‘take-make-waste’ model of overproduction and overconsumption. Part of this textile transition means ensuring textiles don’t end up as waste.

I portrayed the Nudie Jeans Store at Berlin Alexanderplatz, where Jeans bought there can be repaired for free instead of going to waste.
I very much enjoy these kind of jobs as they are not only a pleasure as such but also give me a chance to work for something that I am actually very excited about!
